F.A.Qs
Who is CourseTrackR for?
CourseTrackR is designed first for superintendents, course managers and course staff who need a practical way to record works and keep track of follow-up actions. It also supports GMs, committees and other internal stakeholders by turning that activity into clearer reporting and updates.
What does CourseTrackR actually do?
CourseTrackR helps clubs:
log course works and follow-up actions
view course activity on an interactive map
bring biodiversity records and context into one place
prepare Monthly Snapshots and Share-ready Updates
keep a clearer record of what changed, where and when
What do you mean by an “interactive course map”?
A practical satellite-based map view that helps clubs see works, biodiversity records and focus areas in one place. The aim is to provide useful course context, not a heavy GIS workflow.
What can be logged in CourseTrackR?
CourseTrackR can support logs for planting, habitat care, tree works, weed management, irrigation follow-up, projects & infrastructure, chemical use and other course works. Logs can include notes, assignments, dates, photos and map location.
What are biodiversity records?
These are records and supporting context that help clubs see what flora, fauna and broader biodiversity information is appearing on or around the course. Over time, this can include club-entered records, citizen science observations and relevant public data sources.
Do we have to use iNaturalist or citizen science?
No. Citizen science is optional. CourseTrackR can still be used as a practical internal platform for works logging, follow-ups and reporting, even if a club is not yet using iNaturalist.
Will this create more team admin?
The intent is the opposite. CourseTrackR is designed to reduce admin by making it easier to log activity as it happens and then use that same information again in reporting and updates later.
What does “Report” mean in practice?
It means producing clear, repeatable outputs such as:
committee/board updates
AGM or member-facing summaries
stakeholder/council summaries
before/after visuals and seasonal highlights
All without rebuilding documents from scratch each time.
Is CourseTrackR live now?
CourseTrackR is currently being tested through an early pilot phase. We’re taking enquiries and will share next steps based on fit and availability.
What is Golf Fore Nature and how does it relate to CourseTrackR?
Golf Fore Nature is the community brand, website (stories, events, public engagement) and iNaturalist project that helps connects golfers to the environment. CourseTrackR is the club platform product — built to help clubs map, track and report works and nature outcomes. They’re linked, but separate: one is public facing that helps drive the engine and storytelling - the other is the club product doing the behind the scenes heavy lifting.
Who “owns” the data and decides what’s shared?
The club controls what is entered, what is viewed internally, and what (if anything) is shared externally. Public storytelling and community engagement can sit with Golf Fore Nature channels if the club chooses.
Who is behind CourseTrackR and Golf Fore Nature?
Golf Fore Nature is led by the team behind Environmental Golf Solutions, with on-ground experience supporting Australian golf clubs and project teams across vegetation planning, habitat integration and practical course works. CourseTrackR was created to turn that real-world knowledge into a club-ready platform that makes mapping, tracking and reporting easier over time.
What’s the best way to start?
Use the Enquiry form and tell us:
what you want to achieve on course
who the main users will be (usually the Superintendent/team)
what you want to track first (works, observations, reporting)
what reporting you’re currently asked for (committee, members, council, etc.)
